Hi EEasy friends,

I was daydreaming this morning and started wondering about all the major
breakthroughs of history for Western Civ.

Let's see; there were many, but if we only look at the BIG ONES, we might
come up with a list. I'm sure I'm leaving some out here or have some of the
ordering wrong, but generally, a list might look like this:

1. Consciousness
2. Language
3. Art (Cave Painting)
4. Fire
5. Wheel
6. Writing
7. Agriculture
8. Tribes, Cities, States, Nations
9. Ocean Travel
10. Explosives (gun powder)
11. Printing
12. Gravity
13. Discovery of the New World - Flat Earth debunked
14. Microbes, microbiology (germs, etc)
15. Electricity
16. Aviation
17. Uranium radioactivity - Nuclear Power
18. Relativity
19. Radio communication
20. Television
21. Computer
22. Space Travel
23. Computer Networking - Internet Communication

Okay, in a nutshell, here's our progress so far (plus or minus a few
breakthroughs). Now, if we were to extend this list, what would be some
future breakthroughs? What order would they follow? Can you think of some
really BIG breakthrough that would change everything? What would it be?
Think in terms of "language", "electricity" or "fire" or "nuclear forces",
ie; forces that we knew nothing about until they were discovered and then
everything changed.

Some candidates might be:

Time travel
Artificial Intelligence
Diminsional Travel
hyperlight speed (faster than light)
Teleportation
Consciousness Transfer
God, Heaven, Hell, Good, Evil, Spirit Beings, Extraterrestrial life
Meaning
Santa Claus (hehehehe..)
End of Time

But the really BIG change would happen if there were a breakthrough that we
don't see coming. Can you think of some unknown force, process or universal
law that we're blind to today? Is there something we're missing? Do
psychedelics help you see these possibilities more clearly?

Anyway, I must've had too much coffee already? Isn't daydreaming fun?

peace, love & light
